I specialize in tutoring high school students (and in some cases middle school students as well) in subjects they have difficulty with. These subjects include History, Economics, Philosophy, IB English Language and Literature (HL), and IB Global Politics (HL).

Furthermore, I also support students in developing various general skills that can enhance their productivity and efficiency in school, ranging from organizational skills to improving reading and writing abilities.

My secondary education has been diverse in terms of the school environment. I attended an international school (United World College) in Maastricht, where I completed four years of the MYP program before transferring to a Dutch bilingual school in Rotterdam and obtaining my VWO (pre-university diploma).

In addition to that, I also earned the IB diploma in English Language and Literature (HL) and Global Politics (SL). Moreover, I successfully completed a pre-university course in American Political History at Leiden University. Currently, I am an undergraduate student majoring in Political Science (with a specialization in International Relations) at the Hague Campus of Leiden University.

My tutoring experience began in high school when I offered private tutoring sessions to my classmates. After graduating, I started working as a part-time freelance tutor. Read less

When it comes to tutoring, I believe that it is critical that the sessions go beyond simply being a transaction of information from the tutor to the student. The development of critical thinking, the ability to analyze a text, and place it in a particular context, effective writing, as well as continuous engagement with the respective study material, are all fundamental elements that every high school student should have in his or her toolkit.
