I can offer tutoring on subjects across the humanities, including art history, philosophy, literature, and cultural studies, from school level through to master's level. I can also offer tutorship on academic writing skills in subjects outside of these fields.

I am a recent graduate of the research master in Cultural Analysis at the University of Amsterdam, where I specialized in the environmental humanities. I am passionate about writing and have extensive knowledge of academic writing standards that I have gained from several years of editorial work and research. Last year, I taught these skills to art and design students at the Willem de Kooning Akademie in Rotterdam. I was also a teaching assistant at the University of Amsterdam, delivering classes to second-year students of the Literature and Cultural Analysis bachelor program.

I am based in Amsterdam. I can commute within the city and to neighboring areas in consultation. I also offer sessions online.

My teaching is student-centred: we discuss needs and build a learning plan together. I have a host of exercises and materials that I like to draw upon, but for the most part, I work intuitively and responsively. I am passionate about what I teach, and I like to help students find aspects of their work that they find stimulating, particularly when motivation is lacking. Read less
