Hello!
I'm a recent BSc Psychology (Neuroscience specialisaztion) graduate from Birkbeck, University of London. I've also studied in Italy, the US, and I've completed my IB diploma in an international school in Japan.
I know what it's like to be swamped with constant coursework every week. I focus on getting the best marks through prioritising the requirements set by examiners, and meeting them as efficiently as possible. I use learning and studying methods that I've not only picked up during my educational career, but through my studies as well!
I've paid special attention to educational pscyhology, as well as learning methods and plasticity. Working with me would follow these steps:
1. Understand your goals
2. Understand how you feel you learn best, and introduce you to the appropriate learning methods that I would use depending on your goals. For Example
2a. If studying for an exam, I would use recall cue training! Several studies focused on learning methods have shown that using recall cues not only improves short-term memory, but long term retention as well.
2b. If you're studying for an entire course, I would use spaced repetition!
3. Create a study plan and send you a handbook of what we will be doing in every lesson. If you are happy to then continue, we enact it!
4. Get your feedback after every lesson of what you enjoyed, what you found to be challenging, and how you feel regarding the material we've covered.
5. Adjust the following lesson from there and rinse and repeat!
Depending on your level of interest and the amount of time you'd like to spend, I can always work with you on topics of interest within the realm of psychology. I can also help you in exam-taking skills, essay writing, reading comprehension, critical analysis of scientific studies and data, and any other skills that are relevant to your degree/studies!
