Questions for You

Q: What kind of materials and resources do you use in your classes?

News from French news outlet and media. As well as textbook and interactive worksheet.

Q: How do you incorporate speaking, listening, writing, and reading in your lessons?

I create interactive worksheet that include all the 4 skills as well as vocabulary. I also provide quizes online that can test vocabulary and listening (without seeing text). I assign writing work in class and as homework, so student dedicate some time to it. I prefer reading in class, so I can explain meaning and connotation to the students.

Q: Do you offer homework assignments or practice exercises?

Yes, unless the student request not to. I can offer the homework in a worksheet format as well as game format.

Q: How do you help students with pronunciation and accent?

I use multimedia and interactive tools to help them practice with the right accent. I also teach them basic of the french letters and vowels rules, as well as exception. We read out loud in class.

Q: How do you teach French grammar and vocabulary?

I give a worksheet with instruction that I go through with the student. Usually the grammar is cut down in small steps, so students will not get confused, and exercises are to be done right away to reinforce what has been learned. For vocabulary, apart form the list, and quizlet link, I also provide games and translation exercises.

Q: Can you adapt your teaching style for different learning styles?

Yes. I am an experienced teacher. I notice students who are visual, auditory and tactile learners. Sometimes, the line that distinguish them in unclear but keeping them engaged and have interest in the class is key. Some student prefers translation and a lot of vocabulary acquirement Others prefer learning thought gamification. Some likes reading speeches or articles and discuss about them

Q: Do you provide any additional resources or support outside of lessons such as language exchanges or cultural events?
